10 Good Family Fall Movies

Fall movies can range from comedies to spooky films, dramas and even football. To help you enjoy the season, here’s a list of 10 fall favorites that the entire family can enjoy.

1. Casper

After the death her father, an heiress inherits a haunted mansion called Whipstaff Manor. She hires a paranormal therapist to get rid of the inhabitants however, the therapist and his daughter befriends the peaceful ghost (Casper) and learns to live with his 3 obnoxious uncles who are also ghostly inhabitants.

2. Soul

After slipping into a coma following an accident, middle school teacher and aspiring pianist (Joe Gardner), tries to reunite his soul and body ahead of an upcoming life changing musical performance.

3. The Blind Side

Based on the 2006 book with the same name, this film tells the story of a homeless boy (Michael Oher) who is taken in by a woman (Leigh Anne) played by Sandra Bullock, and her family and goes on to become an All-American football player.

4. Ghostbusters

In this reboot of the 1984 film, four slightly strange women start a ghost business in New York City after a paranormal encounter. They must work together to stop a ghost invasion in Manhattan.

5. E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial

A boy (Elliott) becomes friends with an extraterrestrial then enlists his family and friends to help E.T. find his way home.

6. Remember The Titans

Coach Herman Boones attempts to integrate a high school football team by bringing players with racial backgrounds together. The story is set in Alexendra, Virginia in 1971.

7. Hocus Pocus

In this 1993 fantasy comedy, a trio of wicked witches played by Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy are accidently resurrected by a teenage boy on Halloween night in Salem Massachusetts.

8. Friday Night Lights

A heroic high school football team is guided by coach Eric Taylor through difficult seasons and family struggles of his own.

9. Coraline

An 11-year-old girl moves into a new home with her parents and discovers a hidden door that leads to strange universe which is a version of her life.

10. Rudy 1993

A daydreamer with dyslexia and financial challenges overcomes obstacles to play football at Notre Dame.
