Does God Really Hear Our Prayers?

When we pray, we are abiding in faith that God will hear us. We seek him to receive an answer to our prayers.

Does God really hear our prayers? Yes! If you bring your concerns to God, he will listen.

Sometimes it seems as though our prayers go unanswered. However, remember that God sees and knows everything, including the future.

Think of it this way, if God sees that something that you are praying for will not be very promising for you later down the road, he may not provide the ‘yes’ answer that you are looking for. Instead, he will navigate you to toward another path which will bring happiness to you, and by extension be the answer to your prayer.

On the other hand, the answers to our prayers can also be hindered by our sins. Sin is anything that goes against God’s principles. Acts of jealously, lying, unforgiveness, even arrogance, and the list goes on. Sometimes we sin and are not even aware of it. Let us search ourselves and confess our sins and ask for forgiveness before we make a petition to God.

Never cease praying. Your prayers may seem like they have fallen on deaf ears, but it is not so.

Sometimes, receiving answers from God is a journey that you may have to take. Sometimes, God wants to see how we will handle ourselves when the desires of our hearts are granted. He may want to be assured that when we get the answers to our prayers, we will not forget about him.

A good way to show God that you are committed to him and his process, is to keep praying and praising. Don’t get tired and defeated. God is Sovereign. This means that he can exercise his right, power, and wisdom over his creation.

What are you are believing God for today, hold firm and keep the faith. Trust that he will answer your prayers in the right moment. Believe that the answer to your prayer will be an outcome even better than you were expecting. Be willing to show him that you will hold on to faith and wait on him.

Jesus said in Mark chapter 11 vs 22-24 “Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” (KJV)
